Hulet Elementary School here in Holbrook recently held a fundraiser for us called “Dollars for Doggies” in one week these 3rd- 5th grade students were able to raise over $700 for our animals! AMAZING JOB KIDS! Thanks to them we’ll be able to help lots of animals! Some of the money will be used for our new dog beds, some for an upcoming spay/neuter clinic for kitties, the rest will be put aside for medical costs that we often have to cover for the shelter animals that would have been put to sleep because the city won’t pay for that sort of thing, but the “Friends of the Holbrook Animal Shelter” believes every animal deserves a chance. Check out our “Shelter Stories” page for some of the animals that may not have made it without our help. The winning class, Mr. Bokker’s 5th grade, who raised $188, will get a tour of the animal shelter & meet some of the animals they have helped. They’ll also be invited to read to the animals while they visit.

Sometimes the littlest people can make the biggest difference!

THANK AGAIN HULET SCHOOL! WE LOVE YOU, SO DO THE ANIMALS!
