We always need Committed and Compassionate volunteers who can socialize our shelter animals and help keep our shelter tidy. Our animals need all the enrichment and exercise they can get.

Get Involved!

Rides to Rescue

Love to travel? We always need folks willing to transport animals to our rescue partners. This is how we save the majority of the animals who come to our shelter. If you can transport in your car, great. If not, we have a big white ride-to-rescue van that just needs driving! Must complete a volunteer application and have a valid drivers license.

Events Volunteers

Do you love animals AND hoomans?! We’d love your help at our events. fundraisers, community events and adoption days. Our events include fundraisers, community events and adoption days. Big, signature events include Dog Days at the Pool (August) and Old West Fest (October). If interested, please fill out a volunteer application. Must be good with people, professional, and represent the Animal Shelter and the Friends group well.

Weekday Work

Got time on your lunch or coffee break? Come MAKE A DIFFERENCE in an animal’s life.
Our biggest needs are for cleaning cat cages, making sure all animals have water, and exercising our shelter dogs. Please fill out a volunteer application and coordinate your volunteer days/times with the Animal Control Officer. If you are not a trained, Senior Volunteer and if the ACO needs to go out on a call or break, you cannot be unsupervised on the shelter property and must wait for him to return.
